A huge thank you to Ayr St Leonard’s Parish Church, for sponsoring the Children’s Quiet Room. This gift is in memory of a former member of the church’s, Janie Limond. Janie died in 2016, (aged 102), but bequeathed a generous legacy to St Leonard’s and the church has donated some of her legacy to benefit the new centre.
Services Delivered in this Space
The main services delivered in this room will be focused around education and counselling. Including tailored furniture, toys, games, and a library full of literature written specifically for children to help them understand their own condition, or a loved one’s diagnosis, this room will provide a perfect space for our specialist staff to work with, listen to, and counsel children affected by cancer.
