We are hugely excited to announce that as of 4 March 2024 building work will commence on our cancer support centre on Prestwick Road, Ayr, transforming this into the region’s only dedicated complete support facility for children and young people affected by cancer in Ayrshire.

We would like to thank everyone who helped us get to this exciting stage including our founding sponsors, grant funders, corporate partners, fundraisers, supporters, donors, Ambassadors and Hope Heroes. We hope you are just as excited as we are to watch our Home4Cancer plans come to life.

The building will be Ayrshire Cancer Support’s second centre, adding to the existing facilities of the Kilmarnock Centre and Head Office on 5 Dundonald Road, Kilmarnock. The new centre will include counselling rooms, therapy rooms, a large drop-in centre and bespoke rooms for children and young people.

Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd. are the contractors successfully appointed to the build project which has an anticipated completion date of early 2025. During this time our cancer support services will continue to be delivered at venues across South Ayrshire including the Kyle Chemotherapy Unit, Ailsa Campus and Prestwick North Education Campus on Sherwood Road. Our drop-in will continue to be available in our Kilmarnock Centre and existing groups, courses and workshops taking place in our Kilmarnock Centre and across various community locations will continue to run.

There is still time to get involved and several sponsorship opportunities remaining. To find out more contact 01292 269888.
